Kroger 12/6/10

My Kroger trip was better than my CVS trip, but I still didn't pay as much attention to my coupons as I should have.  I gave the cashier 2 $1/3 coupons for the Del Monte Fruit Naturals but he only scanned one of them.  I got several items that I didn't have coupons for that were still a good price because of the mega sale that was going on (buy 10 participating items get $5 off).  I also bought a few things for my daughter to take as snacks on her trip to Disney World this week.  Here is the results of this trip (I have already included the Mega Sale discount in the Sale Price of the item).

I paid $35.82 for $81.43 in groceries.  This was a 56% savings.  Not too bad considering I didn't have many coupons.  It's not unusual for me to have a coupon for every item that I buy when I go grocery shopping.

The 3 boxes of Orville Redenbacher popcorn each had codes for 2 movie rentals from Redbox plus there is a catalina deal where you can get a free Redbox rental if you buy 3 participating items (the Orville Redenbacher popcorn is a participating item) so I also got codes for 7 free Redbox rentals.  The rentals are $7 each.  If you include the cost of the movies in the Regular Price of the groceries then I paid $35.82 for $88.43 in groceries which makes this shopping trip a 59.5% savings.
