12/15 - Kroger

Another Snow Storm on the way.  I thought I had enough food in the house, but Chris thought we needed to go to the grocery store since it was going to snow again.  I was totally unprepared for this trip and Chris and Kristen were both with me so this wasn't a good trip at all.  I got way too many items and ended up only saving 33%.  One of the things that did happen was I had 2 coupons for a Free Box of Kellogg's Pop-Tarts.  I bought one small box for $1.90 and a large box for $2.99.  When the cashier scanned the coupon she had to look up the price of the Pop-Tarts.  She only looked until she found the first box, which happened to be the $2.99 box so she subtracted $2.99 each for both of the boxes.  Because of this I made $1.09 on my Pop-Tart purchase.

I was supposed to have a catalina print out for a free Redbox rental code because I bought 3 participating items - 2 jars of Tostitos and a bag of Cheetos.  I didn't get this because the catalina machine at the register I was at wasn't turned on.  I can only hope that it will print out the next time I go to the store.  I have had that happen before, if it doesn't print out on the particular shopping trip sometimes it will print out on the next trip.
