1/26/11 - No Shopping and 1/27/11 - Subway and 2 sets of coupons in the mail

Uh Oh, I forgot to put 1/26 in here.  I had to edit 1/27 post so it would be in the correct order.  At least there wasn't anything spent (or saved today) that coupons or sales were used.  I did have a doctor's appointment today, and it snowed.  School was let out early so we picked Kristen up on the way to the doctor's office.

Ok, out to eat again.  Subway tonight.  Finishing up my Gift Card from Christmas.

We got 2 Pastrami Footlong Subs, a 32 oz Drink, a Spicy Italian Sub and a 21 oz Drink.  I used a Buy 1 Footlong Sub Get 1 Free when you purchase a Large Drink and a Buy 1 6" Sub Get 1 Free when you purchase a Medium Drink coupons from the local Entertainment Coupon Book and the $12.30 that was left on my Subway Gift Card.  The total order was $15.09 and I ended up only paying $2.79 out of pocket.  Pretty cool savings of 80.51%.

I also got some coupons from http://www.littlecrowfoods.com/ and http://www.jjsnack.com/   I signed up to receive the newsletter at both of these sites so now I occasionally get coupons from them.



1/25/11 - Another Freebie!!! No Shopping again

1/24/11 - Rite Aid Customer Service, Freebie and coupons in the mail

I called Rite Aid Customer service to ask about the Resolution Rewards $20 +up Rewards that I didn't get for January.  I spoke with a nice Customer Service Rep that told me she would take care of the issue.  She said that their computers had not been updating like they should and that hopefully it would be resolved for the Winter Rewards program from 1/23 - 2/22.  I hope so.  I am waiting for my $20 +up Reward to come in the mail now.  Hopefully I get it.


I worked day shift today.  I hate day shift.  I never go to bed early enough and always end up so tired at the end of the day.  Today I had a sample of Crest 3D Whitestrips and coupons for Proctor & Gamble products.  The only problem is that the coupons expire on 1/28/11.  I don't think I will be able to use them.  I was so tired that I didn't even care though.  I went to bed at 8pm because I have to get back up at 4am for another day shift tomorrow.

1/23/11 - No Shopping Today

I didn't go out today.  I wasn't in the mood to shop, and didn't need anything.  I was also still upset about the Rite Aid Resolution Rewards.

1/22/11 - 2 Freebies, IHOP, Rite Aid (again) and Office Max

Today when I went to the mail box I had 2 more freebies.  One was a coupon for a free 99 cent bag of Ruffles Potato Chips and the other was a $10 Darden Restaurant Gift Card.  I think the Ruffles coupon was from Facebook, but I'm not sure.  I need to start posting the sited that I go to to sign up for my freebies so I can remember.  The Darden Restaruant Gift Card was from the http://www.e-poll.com/ website that I am a member.  It's another site that you can get surveys by e-mail and earn points toward gift cards.  I had enough points to earn a $10 gift card.  There were several different gift cards to choose from.

Well, out to eat again.  This time to IHOP.  We went a couple of weeks ago and I saw a sign advertising a Free Rooty Tooty Nice and Fruity (or something like that) if you signed up for e-mails.  I signed up and got my e-mail for my free meal.  I also had coupons from the local Sunday Newspaper that I could use.  Chris, Kristen, and I met Matthew there and we ate dinner together.  We don't get to do that much any more since Matt lives with my mom now.  I don't remember the exact details, but the total order was $37.83 and I ended up paying $22.86.  Not only did I get my meal free, but the girl at the cash register couldn't figure out how to fix the order so I also ended up getting my coffee free.  The coupon from the newspaper was for 20% off your entire check.  This savings was 39.57%.

OK, Rite Aid time again.  I'm determined to get my $20 +up Reward.  I only had 1 coupon and forgot my $1 +up reward from yesterday, but I'm determined.  I only need $11.21 more to reach $100 and it's the last day.  Well, not so easy.  First of all, it was only 7:15pm when I went in the store but all of the tags on the shelves had already been changed from Resolution Rewards to Winter Rewards.  Fortunately I still had the sales ad for the week so I knew what I was going to get.  Here's my transaction, and what my receipt says this time.

The subtotal was $12.17 so it should have been enough to get my $20 +up Reward, but NO, the receipt says $95.96 for the Resolution Rewards and $7.17 for the Winter Reward.  HUH?????  The Resolution Rwards end today (1/22) and the Winter Rewards don't start until tomorrow (1/23).  I'm still determined though.  I search the sales ad and decide to buy the IceCube Chewing Gum 40 count pack 2/$5.  This will definitely put me over $100, I only need $4.04.  Nope, wrong again.  I did save a little because they were on sale, but still no $20 +up Reward on my receipt.  In fact, my totals went down!!!! This time my receipt says $93.79 for my Resolution Rewards and $5 for my Winter Reward.  I give up for now, I'll have to call customer service and see what's going on.  I'm pretty ticked off right about now.

On to Office Max now.  I'm looking for a new box for my coupons.  My old box is breaking.  I have a max Perks certificate for $38.35 that I can use, a $10 gift card that I got the last time I purchased printer ink cartridges, and a coupon for $10 off $30 or more.  The coupon expires today.  I find a new box, it's actually a photo organizer box with 6 smaller boxes inside.  I've seen something like this on another webiste that I've visited before and think that this will work out pretty good.  I also find a 3 hole notebook punch on sale for $0.70, and a pink Snuggie for $14.99.  Yes, I bought a Snuggie.  My mother-in-law got me a blue one for Christmas.  Chris decided that he liked it so he said he was going to take it and get me a pink one.  This purchase turned out to be absolutely FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I still have $16.43 on my Max Rewards Certificate and I still have the $10 Gift Card.

1/21/11 - Rite Aid again and Long John Silvers

Well, I'm going to work again.  This will make 32 hours overtime for this week plus the 36 hours I was scheduled.  WOW, 68 hours this week!  I'm really, really tired.  I had to leave the house early because I had to go to the bank, then I stopped at Rite Aid again.  I really am trying to get that $20 +up Reward.  I'll have to go back and see how much I actually had to spend to get it.  This time I didn't have any coupons, so the savings are all from sale prices.  Let's see how this works out.

Not too bad considering I didn't have any coupons.  The only problem is that my Resolutions Rewards total is still only $88.79.  I'm sure I'm closer than that, but that's all the receipt says.  I also got a $1 +up Reward at the bottom of my receipt for purchasing the Rite Aid napkins.

Well, after Rite Aid we went to Long John Silvers to eat.  Yes, I know, we eat out a LOT!!! but when you work crazy hours like I do, sometimes it's hard to cook a decent meal.

I did have a couple of coupons to use for dinner.  Kristen and I used the 2 can dine for $9.99 coupon and Chris used the $2 of any Variety Platter coupon.  Not a big savings, but I do try to use coupons every time we go someplace to eat.

1/20/11 - Freebie and Rite Aid

I have another 16 hour shift.  I had to be back to work at 1:30pm and then stay until tomorrow at 5:30am.  I got another Freebie in the mail.  This one was a Free 12 pack of Coke.  I got this from the mycokerewards points.

I stopped by Rite Aid to get some Pepsi for the refrigerator at work.  There was a coupon in the sales ad for this week, Buy 3 Pepsi 12 pack products get a free 12 pack Pepsi Max.  I also picked up some chips to have as a snack during my 16 hour shift.  How nutritious is that?  NOT!!

I was only personally out $2.91 for the chips because I got the $9.70 back from the pop fund at work.  My   Resolution Rewards total now says I have $77.91 towards my $100 needed.  I also don't have a picture of this because I put the Pepsi in the refrigerator at work and ate the Burger King Ketchup & Fries Chips before I took a picture.

1/19/11 - Subway and Rite Aid

Chris, Kristen and I went to Subway for dinner before I went to work.  I had a gift card that mom had given me for Christmas and I also used coupons from the "Entertainment" Book.  I used the Get 1 footlong sub when you purchase a footlong sub and a large drink and Get 1 6inch sub when you purchase a 6inch sub and a medium drink.  We got 3 footlong subs, 2 large drinks, and a medium drink for $12.70.  I actually didn't have to pay cash for this because of the giftcard, so another "FREE" dinner.

I stopped at Rite Aid again.  I don't think I'll ever get my $100 to get the $20 +up Resolution Rewards.  I had a raincheck for Motrin PM that I could get for free (not included in the items for the Resolution Rewards program) but I thought I'd see if they had gotten any.  I also needed dish soap.  Here's this trip.
