I needed a Large Storage Container for some Christmas Decorations, (yes, even as I'm writing about this on 1/13 my Christmas Decorations are still up). I also needed a new ironing board pad and cover. I needed to do quite a bit of ironing the next day and the one I had was completely torn up. I've had it since Chris and I got married 22 years ago. I think I got my money's worth out of it. I had a $5 of $25 coupon for Dollar General that was good only on Sat. 1/8. I figured that I could find a few other things that I had coupons for that I could use also. I found 3 bags of Cesar Dog Treats on clearance (I also had 3 $1 off coupons) and I also added 3 jars of Mt. Olive Pickles (I had 3 $0.55 off coupons).

saved 38.73% on this trip. I haven't quite made my goal of saving 50% or more on my shopping trips recently, but under the circumstances I don't think I've done too bad. Maybe after things settle down and I have more time to plan my trips I will be able to do better.
