My first stop was at Rite-Aid. I made 2 transactions there. The first transaction I bought 2 packages of erasers because Kristen is always using up the eraser on her pencil and then goes around looking for erasers. The erasers were $0.99 for a package of 2 with a $2 +up reward printing out at the bottom of the receipt if you bought 2 participating items. My second transaction was for 4 Nivea Lip Care products. I had $2 off 2 coupons for these items plus I used the $2 +up reward from my first transaction. I also received $8 credit towards the $100 required to get the $20 resolution reward for January (only $92 more to go before 1/22/11). Here's my savings for these 2 transactions.

After I went to Rite-Aid I stopped at CVS. The first thing I always do when I go to CVS is scan my ExtraCare Card at the ExtraCare Coupon Scanner. When I did this today I got $5.50 ECB for my Fall spending at CVS. I didn't use this today, but I will save it and use it at a later time to get even more savings on my next purchase. CVS had Glaceau Vitamin Water on sale 3/$3 with $1 ECB. I purchased 6 bottles and had 2 B1G1 Free coupons. It would have been nice to have a third coupon, but I wasn't able to print another one. Here is my CVS savings.

I also have the $5.50 ECB that I got at the coupon center and another $2 ECB that printed on the bottom of my receipt for the Vitamin Water purchase which gives me $7.50 in free merchandise on my next trip.
My last stop on my way to work was Speedway. I bought dinner there. Since I overslept, I didn't have time to fix anything to eat before I left the house, and the drive-thru's at all the fast food places were packed so I stopped to get a couple of hot dogs and a drink at the gas station. They aren't too bad, and they're really quick. I even had a coupon for a free drink (if you purchase 6 drinks your next one is free) and the hot dogs are cheaper if you purchase 2 instead of 1. I also got a coupon for a Rent 1 DVD get one on us from Blockbuster Express code to use before 1/15/11. Here's how this stop rang up.

Well, I made my goal today for saving at least 50% when I make a transaction using coupons. That was my New Year's resolution that I posted a couple of weeks ago. I do buy other things without using coupons, but I try not to do that unless I just can't find coupons for the item I need (or want).
