2/1/11 - Kroger

Worked again today.  I guess I should explain myself on this.  I have a full time job and am scheduled to work 84 hours (7 - 12 hour shifts) in a 2 week pay period (36 hours one week and 48 hours the next).    The problem is, I hardly ever work only 84 hours.  I worked 120 hours for the last pay period, and will have 96 hours for this pay period - only because I am not allowed to work any more than that, I have been officially cut off by management until Feb. 13.  I would work more if they would let me, but I have reached the limit for what they call the new "worker fatigue" rules.  Well, anyway, I stopped at Kroger on my way home from work to try to catch some of the Mega Deals this week.  I purchased too much to take a picture of everything, but I did gather up the dog food and dog treats that I purchased and took a picture of that.

I got 18 containers of Beneful Prepared Meals, 3 packages of Purina Beggin, and 3 packages of Pruina Busy Bones.  If I walked in the store and had to pay full price I would have spent $60.16.  All of the items were on sale and also part of the Mega Deal.  I had 3 coupons for Buy 4 Get 2 Free Beneful Prepared Meals and  3 coupons for Buy 1 Purina Beggin Get 1 Purina Busy Free.  The total for this after sales and coupons was only $10.65.   That is an 82.3% savings.  I was really happy about that because it can get pretty expensive when you have 3 dogs (even if they are small breed dogs).

Here's my savings for the entire trip.  I got several other good deals and ended up saving 70% over all.  The items with a + next to them were part of the Mega Deal (Buy 10 items get $5 off).  I purchased 61 items that were part of the Mega Deal so I got an additional $30 off.  I also got a free bottle of Pepsi Max.  I just happened to pass the display that had a sign that said "Purchase $50 in groceries get a FREE bottle of Pepsi Max"
